Tom Zimmer and the Holy House ... Oh, and Trump will lead America back to God?

I've met Tom Zimmer a few times.

He was a pilgrim when I met him, years ago.  He compiled the original Pieta prayer book.  He was at Garabandal when I was there, I later ran into him at San Damiano, then at Rome.  I thought he was crazy - but holy.  He wrote a journal and spiritual thoughts on every square inch of paper in minuscule printing, up the margins and on the back - sort of like crazy people do.  He also followed many spurious apparitions, some he discredited, others he believed, but he seemed genuinely holy.  He went to Mass several times a day, all over Rome and all over St. Peter's in the mornings.  In retrospect, I wondered if he was like St. Benedict Joseph or a Russian Fool for Christ?  His premonition about Donald Trump doesn't surprise me.  He said many strange things - he also knew many saints - or persons who have since been beatified or canonized.  In those days, I did too.

I was always such a skeptic though - I am still.  One of my greatest faults I suppose.  I have to pray more.

A fascinating story about Zimmer here.

  1. Maybe he will lead our country back to God in the same way things like hurricanes, earthquakes, and cancer do.

    2. I will admit that the first thing I thought of after hearing this story was of a quote from Fr. Bessieres' book on the life of Blessed Anna Maria Taigi. I hope my gut is wrong. Alternatively, it could understood in the light of Romans 5:20, "where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more." Perhaps we will see a strong conversion in Trump. Whatever happens, Jesus I trust in you.

“At this period Anna-Maria heard our Saviour say to her: ‘Why have I raised up Napoleon? To make him the tool of My anger wherewith to chastise the iniquity of the wicked and to humiliate the proud. One wrongdoer destroys other wrongdoers.’ Napoleon unconsciously served the Papacy. The Concordat of 1801 gave peace to the Church in France, was the death-blow of Gallicanism, and acknowledged the universal jurisdiction of the Papacy. When his work was done, Providence swept away Napoleon.”

    3. Yes, God can use wicked men, even great tragedy, to bring about good. It doesn't mean Catholics need to cheer for him. But the Catholic media industry is absolutely gaga over this charlatan.

    4. It is disappointing. Hilaire Belloc's "The Party System," and Ven. Fulton Sheen's "Communism and the Conscience of the West" opened my eyes. Msgr. Michel Schooyans' works helped me better understand the current situation. Lord have mercy on us.

  2. I figured you'd met him during your travels and would have something illuminating add. Thanks for the insight! Fun story, anyway.

The "prophetic pulse" thingy has kind of run dry. Poor Michael Brown--he has to really scramble to find content for SpiritDaily. Even genuine prophecies leave so much room for misinterpretation, it's probably the least of the spiritual gifts (right there with speaking in tongues--unless your given a real language for missionary work).

  3. I think he's just like Constantine. I'm going with that one now.

Hey - I was told I had the gift of tongues way back when. It was that baby-like talk, but I was out of tune. I remember at prayer meetings it was kind of beautiful when it came together though.

I was too much of a skeptic.

  4. Well that is some story. Kinda like Putin will be the one to return Russia to God and fulfill Fatima. What will the Consecreation deniers say then? I am reminded of Jane Dixon. Remember her. Daily communicant who lived in Washington and saw the future too.

    2. That was her. She was all the rage back then. Claimed to be a good Catholic too.

    3. Dear wh,

      Did you mean "consecration?"

Your spelling lead me to believe that Putin was a consequence of creation.😋

Well, he is, just like you and I, but what's even more amazing is the fact that no matter how dirty we are, inside or out, a broken, corrupted vessel, hand crafted by the Creator himself, can be plucked from the darkness, molded back together, set to the fire, refined, purified and renewed.

If it can happen to yours truly, it can happen to Mr. Putin. 😊

Who knows, maybe, just maybe, he has an image of the Virgencita hidden in the deepest recesses of his heart? Maybe his closet?

The mere thought makes me smile. Mr. Putin is now also commended to the glorious St Joseph. He is bound to meet our precious Mama this way for sure.

"Your mercy is my hope oh Lord!

    1. Had fun with that one but truly, is there an auto check for the overuse of punctuation marks?

I seem to have an attachment to commas and need a refresher course in punctuation for dummies. @_@

  6. I had a feeling, all the time, that he was going to win. Also, I felt that the world was shifting so it was providential in nature. The world seems to be under Gods influence whereby old lies and liars are being shown in the bright light for what they are. Does anyone else feel this Spiritual feeling?

    1. So... now we have "new" lies and new liars? The man is an anti-Christ.

    2. Hi Todd - I think I share your feelings - but I have felt that all along I think. I have confidence in God alone - and sincerely believe that so much that we see which is evil is only discernible in and through the mysteries of light - God's light. Know what I'm saying?

  7. Rosa Quattrini from San Damiano-Italy, known as 'Mama Rosa' pretended to have 'apparitions' of Our Lady in the sixtees and seventies
Her claims have been rejected by different bishops of her diocese, Piacenza, in N.W.Italy(not Assisi)
I came there in that time and first met Tom Zimmer in 1970, who then was the fiancee of the daughter of a Belgian friend of mine
Tom was not pleased about those 'messages', because they didn't say a word against abortion. He himself distributed 'messages' from all over the world, like Garabandal-Spain and many prayers
When the bishop of Piacenza forbade Mama Rosa to spread her 'messages', Tom started to distribute 'messages' from 'the secret seer of San Damiano', speaking about... abortion. I asked Tom if perhaps he himself was that 'secret seer', and, surprised, he said yes.
On May 15 1971 the police came and expulsed Tom from San Damiano.
Some people named him crazy, and holy, all together
Some day from S.Damiano he sent me eggshells, adding that he ate that egg who had been blessed by 'Our Lady',
Because Tom continued to send more 'messages' by post from that 'secret seer of S.Damiano' after his expulsion, in April 1972 the family of Mama Rosa made public a warning that Tom Zimmer did not speak in the name of 'Our Lady of San Damiano'
Later I heard that Tom was living in Rome, collecting empty bottles from the bins to gain some money...
I posses a big file about Tom
Through Internet I hear now that he should have died in about 2008 and burried in Kentucky
    May God have his soul
You will understand I don't believe a word of what he says about Trump

    1. Many thanks for your comment. I met him in San Damiano and Rome in the mid 1970's and he impressed me as mentally ill but holy. He presented himself as an expert on apparitions. I never believed his stories either. I never accepted the Mama Rosa apparition, Br./Fr. Gino mysticism, and other such frauds. I've always remained somewhat open to Garabandahl, but pay little attention to it now that I am older.
