This is Contessina, the Pope's favorite cat. I read that she gets to move in with him now that he will not be living in the papal apartments.
I can't believe he couldn't have a cat while reigning Pontiff.

boy - I can't believe that either !!! No Wonder he is leaving ! I am really so very relieved for him that he will have her by his side, I am sure she will be a wonderful audience for his piano playing. He will no doubt be charmed when she tippy-toes across the keys.

ReplyDeleteMy cat is doing very well, very demanding however. She wants to go outside and I won't let her. I think she would like to move in with the robbits in the backyard. I'm thinking of getting her a companion cat since she is so social.
....a companion cat would be a great kindness Terry: I had a pair I adopted from the spca - they were so happy to have each other, both gone, now, and I miss them....I no longer think one pet is a great idea. I Do now have my mother's cat: she finally gave me a powerful head-butt today - nearly knocked me off my feet. but, she will still only sit on my lap if she is, first, in a box. we have work to do. She gets to sit in the door-way, screen/storm door locked, door ajar with a cane (mom's, not mine, yet) so she can 'hide' there and watch the dogs, et al go by, and many other animals, especially at night. cat tv.
