Was there a March For Life in Washington Today?

I saw nothing on national or local news.  I was watching ABC - but maybe the other networks covered it.

Did you notice anything?  Maybe no one showed up?

Well there was that news blackout
over the Anglican nuns, but...

  1. NPR has covered it for two days straight.

So sick of the Persecution Syndrome coming out of some quarters.

    1. Yes, and did you look at the pictures they had posted? Wierd, strange "anti-abotionists" who look like members of the Adams family, gripping their crucifixes and looking just plain scary. Yes, indeed, they covered it and it looked nothing like what I saw from those who were there.

    2. So not only are they supposed to cover it, they're now supposed to look for the people who don't look too weird?

    3. The majority of people there looked normal, healthy and young. The pictures were selcted to show the minority of oddballs who show up, in way that was decptive. Bias.

    4. I would suggest hiding the weird ones next year. Maybe behind banners or bushes.

    5. I don't object to the presence of weirdos, I object to the distortion of the reality.

Well, Thom, I was at the March today and I live just outside of DC. The Washington Post had nothing, CNN had 2 minutes on TV and nothing on its website, and local news radio biggie WTOP didn't mention what kind of rally closed all the streets. It names every other kind of rally/march when street closings are announced.
This may not be "persecution" but it's certainly a media hush-hush.

I comment rarely here or anywhere, Thom, and I don't have enough "track record" to convince you of my goodwill.
Media bias against reporting on the March for Life is there for you to verify, and easily. The whys and hows behind it are up to you to piece together, if you want to think about it.
      Peace.

  5. The only real coverage was on, as usual, EWTN.
The only 2 stories I found was an AP story about the thousands that were expected to show up.
Talk about intentionally using misleading language. Most people think of small numbers, maybe 5-10-20 thousand at best, not 500 thousand.
This is the same AP that said pro- life is biased & anti-abortion is value neutral.
The only other story mentioned thousands of young people & totally ignored the total number.
That the Main stream media is biased is an understatement.
Radically pro-abortion & promoting the abortion industry/culture of death agenda is more like it.

  6. My point is that those of us who do not have cable, along with those who are not online, the underclass and the elderly and even those who don't care, saw nothing about the march. It's so not persecution - it is simply bias and a genuine black out. If 500,000 queens came out to march in objection to Michelle's new hairdo, the news would be all over it - just for the sheer numbers.

And if Bill Donohue wants to bitch about a news black out - this is his dream job.

It's so not about persecution - it's about MSM bias.

  7. Wasn't there some little anti-abortion protest somewhere?

  8. Surely not, Nan. No one is against abortion.

  9. I must be confused.

  10. You thought of the purpose of the news media was to bring us news?
