However Terence Trent Abbey, you still have a job to do, (that's confirmed by the fact that your heart still beats and He keeps it beating for His purposes, He even started it beating for the same reasons)because He loves you and creation would have been incomplete without you!!!! Wow, dwell on that for uno momento!
Your life on earth is the lasting legacy you will leave, after all. And legacies take time, time spent OUT of tunnels (unless you're being called to be a 'tunnel hermit' (mind you, how cool would that make me, knowing you?) Ooops! Ego moment, sorry.
Anywayzzzzzz, here's a relevant quote I use often but not usually with the two other following verses added on. It seems appropriate to add them today.
See Hebrews 13: 14-16
"For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and TO COMMUNICATE FORGET NOT: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."
As I read your post, I thought of the same verse that shadowlands quoted, "For we have here no lasting city". I was reading about the passing of Father Hugh Thwaites SJ a Jesuit priest who I greatly admired. He was the last of that breed of English Jesuits I fear. I read that he was never completely at home here on earth. I think this really should be the attitude of any Christian. We are all just "passing through". It's what we do while we are "passing through" that matters. Be assured that your edification of your neighbor in cyberspace is an apostolate that you do so well as only you could do.
