I think it is a strong portrayal - the look in his eyes is ecstasy I think.
I think your work is much stronger, so don't burn your canvases (Cezanne would do that).Only someone as great as El Greco should make you want to break all of your paint brushes in half. Just look at his Assumption of the Virgin, based on a Titian, in the Art Institute.
You are very kind - but I really do think Schmid's work - and every one elses for that matter is much better than what I can do. Thanks for you encouragement however.
