Flight Delayed

In my Archdiocese, the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord is transferred to Sunday.

Not to worry though - He's already there... in Heaven, I mean.

  1. Well today is the Feast of the Ascension. It is the 40th day of Easter isn't it? and a Thursday? I went to Mass this morning anyway. My handy "Magnificat" didn't have the readings for today since according to its' reckoning it was "Ascension Day". Mass attendance goes down on holy days? no problemo just transfer it to Sunday. So the people who weren't going to go on the actual Feast Day probably weren't going to go on Sunday or don't understand the significance of it but I digress. This is a thorn in my side.

    1. I know it bothers a lot of people. Not me though. ;)
