Depressing Christmas stories - fail.

I can't think of any.  I think I've told them all in the past.  I'm strangely happy and actually looking forward to Christmas now.  (Thanks for praying for me whoever you are.)

Nothing to blog about today however.

I do have a post in mind about how Christmas really is just for kids - and those like them.  It's about spiritual childhood.  Maybe later.

  1. How about asking us to submit some?

    I can depress the Pope.

Besides, I have a great story about Tommy and his civil union partner Bruce celebrating their first Christmas with little Timmy, the kid they adopted in China.

Guaranteed to depress or your money back!

Hi - I can't remember how I stumbled across your blog, maybe following the internet trail left when reading about Leonard Cohen - something, but I just want to say, your writing, the look of the blog, the quotes - it is all so wonderful. WHO ARE YOU? Anyway, I also I enjoy reading you because it seems like I shouldn't, being an atheist, straight, asian female. Go you!

Okay - this is weird. See, before reading any mention of homosexuality, just from your writing style I inferred that you were gay. And the fact that you were obviously a devout Catholic seemed wonderful and fascinating - because I'd assumed you'd found a way to bring the two things together with some ease into your own life. But reading on further I eventually saw your take was really the more standard, opposite. So yes you're a wonderful writer with a keen sense of style, but re: the hate, I'd have to say, Don't Go You! Apologies if this forces you to have to delete two comments.

  5. Carol - it isn't hate at all - but I'm not able to convince anyone of that. Are you really an athiest? I have a hard time believing that people are truly athiests - most I've met strike me more as unbelievers.

May the Force be with you! ;)

  6. Satan hates Atheists.

If you are one, you cannot join his Luciferian Club, Jewish Freemasonry.

If you don't believe in God, you don't believe there are fallen angels.

    Go figure.

    Lucifer standing up for God.
