Try to enter the narrow way...

Abba Matoes said that three old men went to Abba Paphnutius, who was called Cephalus, to ask a word from him. The old man said to them, 'What do you want me to say to you? A spiritual word, or a bodily word?' They said, 'A spiritual word.' The old man said to them, 'Go, and choose trials rather than stillness, shame rather than glory, and to give rather than to receive.' - Abba Matoes

My dream.

I'm not saying it means anything, but I forgot to mention a dream I had.  Actually I was waking up when I felt as if I should be remembering something important.  I can't recall any details, aside from the impression I had been looking down a wide urban avenue, partially obscured by thick fog or haze.  I thought of the following passage from Genesis: "God made them male and female."  Though the message seemed to be this:  "The acceptance of sin and sins committed has finally gone too far now for God not to act."  I was frustrated because I forgot which particular sin tipped the scales - only to realize the scales had already been tipped and it was too late to do anything about it anyway.
.
That was it.

Fatima has not been heeded. God have Mercy on us all and give us strength to endure.

LOL! Pat would have remembered which sin was the last straw.

A few weeks ago I had a dream about you Terry.
I was just wandering around your house with a friend, it was a very interesting rather ramshackle old house and strangely there was a kitchen in the garden, with a plumbed in sink and everything.
This was because you had a lot of outdoor parties.
I think I may have been looking after your cats while you were on holiday.
But then half way through the dream you turned out to have been napping in the house after all.
You came out into the garden and then I felt as though maybe I was trespassing.
You were charming about it though.
Naturally.
I introduced my friend to you and we had a nice chat and then I invited you over to London.
It was convivial.
I get to travel a lot when I'm asleep.

I've had that feeling in a few of my dreams as well. It's a distressing feeling because at that point I don't think God even listens to my prayers. He's totally fed up.
