The Post had an article on those May 21st folks when they came to town. They were asked,hey,if the world is going to end, you don't need your money,so why don't you give it all to that homeless guy over there? Or, since you won't be needing your house and your stuff, can I have it? Nothing doing. Guess they really don't believe it themselves. At least the Space Shuttle Endeavor and the Space Station will have a perfect view. Are you on a "R" kick? Rothko, Richter.... Padre--I am LOL. Bellarmine used to ask frequently: "Will I never die"? I am w/ you, often, Padre.
Teryy-Re the Rothko painting. My brother is an art dealer and he used to work at Sotheby's in NY. My Father was always complaining because he like art he could understand. My brother gave my parents a painting, I think it was a print, of a simple rose. My brother, also a photographer, loves Rothko. i think it is nice to have nothing to talk about, Terry. But, I am w/ Shadowlands, we do appreciate you perspective!
Maria--I may have birdies and tulips...but we're supposed to get MORE SNOW in the higher elevations in the next couple of days...and the windstorm we've had the past couple of days have knocked all of the blossoms off the trees...so very little fruit this year..
But I went for a lunchtime walk around the block to clear my head of the stress and picked a stem of LOVELY fragrant purple lilacs to put on my desk...they smell heavenly...you just CAN'T be stressed when you smell lilacs :)

ReplyDeleteI spoke with a young lady this week end that was really frightened about this.
She is Catholic.
Novus Ordo Catholic.
I spoke with her and related Holy Mother Church's pronouncement on these things, and reassured her of God's goodness and mercy.
It is sad to see that a ten year old Traditional Catholic school kid knows more Catholicism than this twenty five year old woman.
I guess liturgical dancing, mariachi Masses, and clown Masses don't leave much time to catechize the Faithful.

Nope nope nope--the world cannot officially end before July 31..that is my final day to complete a critical project at work..

No spoiled fruit here..but I do have a few bananas that are looking to be good candidates for banana bread..
