Was St. Thomas Aquinas really fat?

That's what they say - and evidently not that attractive either...
.
"St. Thomas was a huge heavy bull of a man, fat and slow and quiet; very mild and magnanimous but not very sociable; shy, even apart from the humility of holiness; and abstracted, even apart from his occasional and carefully concealed experiences of trance or ecstasy." - Source

Happy feast day tuba!

  1. So sort of like a saintly Ignatius Reilly?

Sounds like my kind of saint! Would that we focused more on his humility than his intellect.

One of the most touching things about St.Thomas was his friendship with St. Bonaventure.

    St. Thomas, ora pro nobis!

Terry, if I had a little face with a puzzled expression on it, I would post it. As it is, I must ask...do we know one another? Do you have me mistaken for someone else?

These are just some of the questions floating through my increasingly confused mind...

I don't think he has mistaken you for anyone else, Ronnie. =) Don't you recall when I introduced you two to each other? (Think hard!) ;-)
