  4. Is this egg-tempera on wood? Or do you use oil (or heaven forbid, ACRYLIC)?

It does have a bit of a Giotto look to it. Do you do frescos as well? And have you ever thought of trying stained glass?

  6. Hey, don't make fun of me! I was serious. I really think it's beautiful and your super talented..... but your still a butt head. oo <---that's my butthead Emoticon or maybe this one ---> OO that's the big butt emoticon, or maybe this one...

  7. Belinda - I meant that - I wasn't being mean.

Brother, acrylic using tempera technique - on wood. Medium isn't a big deal - it is handling the paints that counts.

    Elisabeta - no - I just paint.

  8. Oh, I'm so sorry Mr.T. I thought you were teasing me. I am proud of you but not just for your paintings. You try to live a life that's pleasing to God and there are few people who seem to be doing that. I love this painting and yes at times your still a butt head but even so I WOULD join your plate of the month club!

I'm having such a bad day. I just got off of the phone with my Dad.....

I wish God would kill me quicker
-I'm being rug burned to death with words.

If I start crying I will have to email one of my blistering parental letters to you so we can compare notes however for now I'll try and re-gain control of myself.

  9. Thanks Terry for clarification. I didn't mean to sound snobbish with acrylic - actually I don't know how to do oil painting. I have learnt using egg-tempera and acrylic but have stuck to acrylic most of the time, to the horror of my Orthodox icon-writing teacher.

  10. Oh Brother that is quite alright. Iconographers differ on the issue - but one can use acrylic very well in the tempera technique. I think iconographers should be more aware that other medium was used over the centuries - fresco and encaustic to name two.

  12. (Cathy, I'm in hiding. My comment was stupid and I'm embarrassed about it. I haven't deleted it because that makes me come off as crazy(er)than normal. As usual thank you for your kindness Cathy.)
