The growing list of kids Americans no longer want:
- Fat kids of course.
- Physically or mentally disabled chidren.
- Children with any special needs whatsoever.
- Sick kids.
- Ugly kids.
- Gay kids.
- Bully kids.
- Dumb kids.
- Needy kids.
Clearly, designer babies and sex selection can help avoid these 'mistakes', but if all else fails, abortion, infantacide can solve the inevitable freaks of nature which might sneak by. No one wants to be 'punished' with an unwanted kid - especially if they are fat.
I'm just waiting for the "Obama-ites" to show up on my door step, with my glass of kool-aid.

I understand what your sayin' Mr.T. but I am shocked at how fat our nations children have become. How often do you see kids outside playing ? Obesity in kids is stunning and I said the exact same thing to my husband only last week. These fat children are a risk to our nations security and to our health care system. Seriously , high blood pressure at 14!? And what about diabetes in kids. I wonder what kind of shape these kids will be in when they're in their 30's. That's the reality but the problem started when parents failed to parent and when parents fail to do what they're suppose to do then the state likes to step in. (Shove their way in.) You wait and see there will be new guidelines which physicians will have to follow and worse yet perhaps have to report kids - who knows and nothing surprises me anymore..
ReplyDeleteAnd in the interest of full disclosure I had a daughter with an eating disorder and Mrs.Obama didn't even address the eating disorders, compulsive overeating, bulimia and anorexia. This will only increase the pressure to be thin for young women.
Perhaps Mrs. Obama assumes that if you don't see a problem then one must not exist. Government legislation will cause (as usual) a whole other host of issues while masking some. (BTW... I can't believe how many people are using those electric scooters in the grocery store now.. and nine times outta ten it's from gluttony- my personal favorite sin :(

ReplyDeleteBelinda - Obesity is an issue of course - but I too thought of how this will play out with people with eating disorders and body image issues as well. Perhaps anorexics will now believe they are being patriotic in their efforts to be thin.

Just a quick question: not to be a nit-picker, but surely in your list on unwanted kids you did not intend to use the phrase "gay kids", correct?
ReplyDeleteIn the context of your article, using that phrase would suggest that children can be born sexual deviants, which I am sure you did not intend to imply.
And by the way, as tiresome as it may be for you to be reminded of this (just as tiresome it is for us to keep reading it), there is nothing "gay" about homosexuality. Please don't give one single inch to those language-corrupting bastards.
Being well qualified to judge the amount of obesity in the world by being one, during slow moments at the St. Helena's Autumn Daze Fall Festival, where I sold carnival ride ticks last September, I had a good view of the many thousands of adults and children who were in attendance.
ReplyDeleteI would say that the number of grossly obese adults and children, as typified by that photo you posted that no doubt came from the office of the President's Spouse, were exceedingly rare.
I would wager that in three days I didn't see more than a dozen people out of the many thousands that attended the carnival and bazaar that looked remotely like that.
Ms. Obama who no doubt has starved herself and made herself miserable for most of her life in order to meet standards determined by homosexuals who hate women, should not be allowed to have an opinion on this subject.

Was anybody really surprised Michelle chose fat kids crusades? Rumor has it teens with pimples was number one on her list but White House advisors told her that was just too superficial.

Larry, if Mr.T gets in one of those moods, you know, if he enters into an unhappy place in his head... your not even safe with bubble wrap, in fact your toast. He's super creative and can tell you what you could do with bubble wrap a hundred different ways but we love him anyway. :) Yes we do.

As for fat people being offended - or people with eating disorders being offended that I used the 'fat' word - my apologies. Like gay people - you most likely have some sort of disorder - which should make gay people feel less mental BTW! So please - don't be so sensitive.

FYI - My Dad - for some reason - never wanted to call a woman fat - except for my mom and my sister - so he would always refer to women who were f-- as 'heavy-set'. In fact, for him, it was a high compliment to say, "She's a heavy-set gal - but she's light on her feet." Isn't that nice.
I thought the polite term was "big boned".
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid the term for the clothing I got was "husky". & it had nothing to do with what I dfid or didn't get at lunch at school, which BTW was what my mom packed in my lunch box.
