Illinois' justice reigns supreme!
.
A federal jury deadlocked Tuesday on all but one of 24 charges against former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, including the most explosive of all - that he tried to sell an appointment to President Barack Obama's old Senate seat. Blagojevich was convicted on a single, less serious count of lying to federal agents.
.
"This jury shows you that the government threw everything but the kitchen sink at me," Blagojevich said outside court. "They could not prove I did anything wrong - except for one nebulous charge from five years ago."
.
Blagojevich's trial was another chapter in Illinois' history of crooked politics. His predecessor, George Ryan, was convicted of racketeering in 2006 and is serving a 6 1/2-year-sentence. - Full story.

So, how much did he bribe the juror to ensure a deadlock????
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought I was looking at a morph image, but nope - that's Blago all right.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised someone bribed someone - and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a money trail to the Democratic party or the Administration.
ReplyDeleteLarry - I thought the same thing.
Blago--boo hoo, whoopee..
ReplyDeleteYou guys need a GOOD trial like we have here in Utah...
Like polygamist Warren Jeffs (whom I truely belived someone dug up some stinky poo on the judge who ruled the trial "improper" and threw out the decision..)
Or Brian David Mitchell..kidnapper and rapist of Elizabeth Smart..that psycho has bamboozled so many judges with his singing in court it ain't even funny....
If those guys EVER get outta prison they wouldn't last 30 seconds outside the prison gates...after all Utah is a concealed carry state... :)
We need a good Texas hangin' judge..
