  3. My children and myself picked up trash a week ago or so and we got 6 bags until we happened upon a copperhead... Geese the copperhead killed the whole enviromental mood I was in. My heart just wasn't in it after that.

BUT I accidently learned that if you make your children pick up trash when everyone in the country side comes home from work they stop and tell you how wonderful they think you are... Had I known that I would have had the children out many, many times before at 5:45toiling away. hahahaha

  4. I found this photo a long time ago but never knew how to use it. I believe it is a species of fruit tree in Central Park.

Father, only if you stppoed and dialogued with the flower and apologized for being unfairly mobile and oppressing all mobile-ly challenged species.

Hehe--I'm a liberal California borderline granola girl--I recycled quite a bit today--but mainly because we're forced to at work--,put my coffee grounds in the garden, and fed my cats chickeninstead of puttingit in the trash :)

P.s. can't wait to go to Ca to see the migration of the grey whales :) I wonder if that one priest is still on Redondo Beach that blesses the whales..

  11. Sara - I recycle big time, cut loops on plastic pakaging so animals do not get caught up, I use all organic fertilizer and yard stuff, I eat organic - drink organic milk, I use CFL lighting wherever I can - I can't think of what else.

I just don't worship Gaia or Mother Earth.

I have to fix that photo - grosses me out every time I look at it.

  12. Terry-- summer between 5th and 6th grade I spent the summer with my granda on the Oregon coast....I learned to cut up the plastic holder so the birds wouldn't get caught in them..plus alot of beach hippies taught me how to bekind to Mother Earth.

Everyone at work thinks I'm wierd that I cut up the plastic holders...but then they also think I'm wierd because I feed the seagulls :)

  16. Listen, the whole "organic" thing is gonna put us here into the "red"...bigtime...
Thank God we have members who don't feed their chickens/livestock horrid antibiotics...we get eggs from spiritual directees who give them to us...my good Mum gives us produce that isn't tainted with whatever...otherwise; we're being poisoned just like the rest of the world.
I do what I can; but, crap, I can't control everything...
I got sequestered in the dr's office today because my heart was in arrhythmia...they were going to give me all kinds of drugs to prevent a stroke, heart attack, or death...Jesus, help me!
    I'm fine, now.
Who can't live in this mess and not have heart beat irregularities now and then?!?!
And my word verification was "hyper"...how appropriate:<)!

At least you don't have the parental guilt of feeding your children hot dogs , chicken nuggets or that kind of thing. Your only making decisions for yourself. I couldn't feed my children organic if I wanted to except for whole organic grains, rice, corn, oats etc.. But then we drink the water and in Kansas there's too much pesticide run off. (But, there are few if any weeds in the fields! Not sure about bugs though.) I drove past the sprayer as it was operating and the green toxic sludge turned my stomach as we rolled up the windows.

We are all going to die and there isn't much that I can do to stop it but no matter what you can always count on parental guilt.

I live in the white color and thank goodness I don't eat or drink anything from the dark pink people next door or worse yet the red people below.

Father, I've got a heart that has a type "A" personality too. hahaha
