  3. I printed a copy to take to St. Mary's this afternoon to show Debbie. I'll send her a link too, but I know she isn't anywhere near a computer.

  6. Beautiful,Terry!

Just prior to my conscious awareness of a spiritual conversion taking place, I stumbled upon the Black Madonna Shrine near Eureka, MO (I know) while out exploring the area of our new home state with the kiddies. It was at this Shrine that I really started pondering things Catholic. During one visit to the site a shirtless, but for a brown scapular, young man was kneeling in prayer in the outdoor chapel, dedicated to Our Lady of Czestochowa. I watched him until he left —about 20 minutes or so. By that time I had such a wish for some ounce of faith and to be able to pray as he had ...

Your finish on this piece is very striking and the beading framing it offers a very subtle accent! Lovely!

May I ask, why you select this image of the Virgin Mary? Just curious.

You feel as though she really *sees* you. Exquisite.

  8. I would also love to purchase a print for my Secular Carmelite community should they become available.....

She has a very gentle "comforting" and soft expression, very well portrayed..and I just adore how the Infant is cradling Her chin...such a loving, intimate gesture toward His Beloved Mama...

Excellent work Terry!! Our Blessed Mother is so proud :) She has indeed blessed your work.

  11. Terry, I'm really serious about a print or a reproduction. You really ought to consider getting this one out there. (Plus, I'm too poor to commission a Terry Nelson original.) :-p
