It's a set up...

I was impressed by another writer's observation regarding the Perez Hilton hissy-fit, which got a lot of gay people screaming bigot, simply because Miss California actually had an opinion about same-sex marriage.

"It sure is - they" (gay-activists) "want to trigger a reaction, and then beat you over the head with it. Because it is, you know, all about them - and in today's culture, there's absolutely nothing worse than being ignored." - Source

That is it! Mitchell nailed it.

  1. That's the thing, Terry. She really didn't have an opinion. She parroted, rather poorly, I might add, the opinion of her family. And apparentl;y not even her whole family, as it has came out that her sister disagrees.

It's been blown out of proportion by both "sides" (as if it's some sort of war), and used by both "teams" to further their agendas, in however a tawdry way.

I'm appalled by the whole thing.

  2. Perez Hilton is wicked, and yeah, I AM judging him. Where he goes when he dies is not my place to say. I'm not God.I pray it's heaven though. You can plainly see the fruits of his blog, hatefulness, insensitivity unless your views are like his, filth, and more. His blog is so bad that that voice in my head - the nice one ;) said looking at his site, and others like him are like looking back at Sodam, and I am guilty of sin. I don't go there to pray for people anymore. hahahaha Yeah, that was the excuse.

Every gay man I've ever met (and as a musician, that's more than a few) has behaved so that the spotlight is constantly on them, and only them. Once in my organist days I played a hymn after Mass that was appropriate to the liturgy, and a gay choir member (there was a gay couple in the choir then) said I did it just to annoy him. As I said then, "It's not about you, it's about Him, so get a grip". Like Mr. Hilton, they're always on stage and if you don't agree with them you're "hateful" and "homophobic". To which I reply, "Grow up -- it's not all about you, so deal with it"!

  5. I've known a lot of mean Christians, anonymous. Does that mean that Christians are mean, or are those just the ones that I noticed?
