Does President Obama object to the Holy Name of Jesus?.
I definitely believe there is a very real anti-Catholic spirit (and therefore the spirit of anti-Christ) rapidly gaining momentum throughout the world. As Christians, we should not be surprised by this.

By now, many bloggers heard the news that Georgetown University covered the monogram of the Holy Name of Jesus to please the President. White House staff requested that the Holy Name be covered for the President's speech. The issue over the commencement address at Notre Dame can perhaps be debated, but a Catholic University covering up the Holy Name cannot even be defended. Complying with such a request, not even under duress or coercion, becomes a powerful symbol of apostasy.

The readings from Mass during the Octave of Easter all point to the power and authority of the Holy Name of Jesus, the Name before which every knee must bend, in the heavens, on the earth, and under the earth.
It all becomes so disheartening. I have to keep reminding myself that the Holy Spirit knows what He's doing.

Ana said that her college signed some sort of a loyality oath. The college had their highest enrollment ever this year, but the students are very divided. Homeschoolers ,and pro-abort Catholics clash.
I can't tell you what Ana said about the sisters, but the monks are wonderful.
Last week a dorm room had to be exorcised. (It was about a bed that shook etc... Girl one said, "was that you shaking the bed silly last night?" Girl two, "Nooooo I thought that was you shaking the bed silly!!" cue creepy music, and the Monks. It's a real battle for souls at college.
If the guy is going to speak in their college--he should accept the surroundings as they are. Or, better, don't speak there!

ReplyDeleteAnd how will the 'catholic' Obama supporters spin this one? And if (or when) they do, what will the bishops' response be?
What does he tell us if a person will not stand in even the presence of THE NAME? Anyone recall what an "aversion to religious things" can indicate in theology? NOw I don't KNOW if he HAS an averion but...let him who has ears to hear, hear. Let us pray (a LOT!)
