"I belong to a literary ground, comprised – including retired profs of literature, history and philosophy – mainly of very educated priest friends and a pair of physicians."

  4. Gore Vidal is actually still alive I believe, he too was once an expatriot living in Italy, he now lives in California - but not on a farm. He happened to be the nemesis of that conservative fellow who died not too long ago - oh yeah - Buckley. Both were bitches. Vidal is a well known writer. He is also related somehow to Al Gore. Why do you ask? Does someone remind you of him...

    Should I know McKellan? I don't.

  6. Ha. I know who they are. I was pretending that we were playing Jeopardy, suggesting those two questions to your answer, knowing all the while what the question actually is, but attempting to be provocative. Actually, I once read a Gore Vidal book that I didn't hate!

A pair of physicians? A pair? Do they really come in pairs? How funny! I don't know why but reading that made me very silly. A pair of physicians.

  9. Fr. Mark - I know you have no idea what this post is about - but let me just say this; I am so grateful you are humble and innocent. Your blog gives great glory to God and Our Lady.

  10. Yes, well all that may be true but I have YOU for a friend, so who the hell needs doctors, professors, and writers. All they'd do is eat up my Colatura ...........
